Royalton reopens Jamaica resorts after post-hurricane refresh, launches US$30,000 family package

Royalton Hotels & Resorts has reopened all five of its Jamaica properties following a post-Hurricane Melissa renovation, while also launching a US$30,000 VIP family vacation package that targets higher-end clients.
“Jamaica isn’t just open again. Jamaica is ready,” the company said in its August 6 announcement, which confirmed that Royalton Negril, Royalton Blue Waters, Royalton Hideaway Negril, Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters and Grand Lido Negril have resumed operations.
The VIP offering, ‘The Soul of the Island Package’, is a seven-night getaway for two adults and two children. It includes a renovated Diamond Club Luxury Presidential One-Bedroom Suite, personalised butler service, VIP airport arrival and departure, private transfers, curated Jamaican dining, daily beachfront cabanas and excursions, including Dunn’s River Falls, a rum distillery tour and a private sunset catamaran cruise.
Families can choose between Royalton Negril, set along Seven Mile Beach, and Royalton Blue Waters in Montego Bay, 30 minutes from the Sangster International Airport. Both properties have been refreshed with new dining concepts, wellness programming and redesigned accommodations.
The adults-only portfolio – Royalton Hideaway Negril, Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters and Grand Lido Negril – has also completed renovations.
Royalton, the Barbados-headquartered hotel group, operates 24 resorts across eight Caribbean destinations. The Jamaica refresh places it in direct competition with other international and regional hotel chains also undergoing renovations. The regional brand, Sandals Resorts International, announced plans to invest US$200 million in the transformation of three of its own Jamaica properties for reopening later this year.
Jamaica’s tourism sector recorded more than one million visitors and roughly US$956 million in foreign exchange earnings in the first quarter of 2026, with the Government targeting 95 to 98 per cent of pre-hurricane visitor levels by year end.
