Actor and dub poet Sheldon Shepherd gave media and invited guests an exclusive first listen to his 11-track debut album, Give Thanks, on Wednesday at The University of the West Indies, Mona campus’s Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts, followed by a conversation with Fae Ellington.

The event drew a substantial crowd of creatives, among them Shepherd’s longtime friends, and with videos accompanying several tracks, guests were given the opportunity to really experience the album.

The Tuff Gong-distributed project drops on September 18, Shepherd’s birthday.
