The Moneague College in St Ann has closed the facility to residential students as Tropical Storm Melissa approaches Jamaica.

A notice from the Office of the Principal, Howard Isaacs, says the institution has also suspended classes for full-time students, beginning Wednesday afternoon, while shifting classes for students at the evening institution to online, as of Thursday morning.

The college has requested that lecturers make virtual session recordings and/or tasks available to all students for the duration of online class delivery.

The notice says department leaders will coordinate with their respective teams to provide the necessary support for securing college equipment and property.

“All offices and all campuses will be closed as of 1:30 p.m., October 23, 2025, until further notice,” the notice read.

The 69-year-old institution has its main compound in Moneague, St Ann, and campuses in Port Maria, St Mary, and Linstead, St Catherine.
