The Government has launched a website to organise and facilitate relief aid to Jamaica amid Hurricane Melissa.

The website is supportjamaica.gov.jm.

This was disclosed by Information Minister Dr Dana Morris Dixon on Tuesday at a news conference.

She said the platform is being used to mobilise donations, track emergencies, and coordinate recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa.

She warned the public to avoid fake fundraising sites not ending in .gov.jm.

Meanwhile, Morris Dixon says about 25,000 tourists are in Jamaica amid the hurricane.

She assured that the Ministry of Tourism is working closely with hotels to keep visitors safe, adding, “There’s no need to worry… we are keeping those tourists as safe as we possibly can".
