Bodies found in Black River, St Elizabeth following Melissa

The bodies of at least three persons have been found in Black River, St Elizabeth, following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.

This was confirmed by head of the St Elizabeth police, Superintendent Coleridge Minto, who said cops are now at the scene.

St Elizabeth is one of several parishes severely affected by the Category 5 storm, which made landfall there on Tuesday.

There has been widespread damage across the parish.
