73-y-o woman killed in house fire in Portmore

A 73-year-old woman was killed in a fire at her home in Portmore, St Catherine on Wednesday night.

She has been identified as Sonya Ebanks of Braeton Parkway.

Reports from the Portmore police are that 9:20 p.m., firefighters responded to a blaze at a house.

The fire was extinguished and the body of the senior citizen was found among the rubble during cooling-down operations.

The incident is being investigated.
