More customers getting back their water - NWC

The National Water Commission (NWC) says customers across several parishes are now experiencing restoration of their water supply as a number of its facilities resume operations.
The NWC says over 20 water facilities were restored today.
The company says despite challenges posed by high turbidity, power supply outages and down power lines, dislocated pipelines, lack of access to facilities and other hurricane-related damage, significant progress has been made.
NWC says its teams are mobilised and working around the clock in collaboration with the Jamaica Public Service Company to restore the remaining facilities, with an urgent focus on facilities in the Western parishes, which were severely impacted.
It says assessments are ongoing to determine the full extent of damages and prioritize further restoration efforts.
