Police in Manchester have launched investigations into the suspected suicides of an 11-year-old boy and a 37-year-old man, whose bodies were found in separate incidents within 24 hours.
The child a student of Devon Primary School, was discovered dead at his home on Friday.
He was found by his mother. She reportedly left him at about 9 a.m. and returned about 1 p.m. and did not see him. She began making calls to locate him. Around 3:30 p.m., he was reportedly found hanging by a piece of rope at the back of a storeroom on the premises.
The police were summoned, and the body was removed to the morgue pending a post-mortem examination.
Less than a day earlier, the body of Gary Williams, 37, was found hanging from a tree in Three Chains, near Mandeville.
Police reports indicate that Williams’ body was discovered about 9 a.m. on Thursday.
