The Western Regional Health Authority is advising the public that several health centres in Westmoreland have reopened and are currently offering limited services following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.
The authority says the Negril, Little London, Savanna-la-Mar, Grange Hill, Georges Plain and Bluefields health centres are now operational, providing maternal and child health as well as curative services daily.
Members of the public are encouraged to access services at the nearest available facility and to follow all guidance from local health authorities.
Additional updates will be provided as more facilities are restored to full operation.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness says it remains committed to restoring health services islandwide to ensure the continued care and well-being of Jamaicans.
