UWI announces new dates for graduations postponed due to Melissa

The University of the West Indies, Mona has announced new dates for its graduation ceremonies which were postponed due to Hurricane Melissa.
The ceremonies, originally scheduled for October 30 to November 1, 2025, have been rescheduled to January 15, 16, and 17, 2026.
The UWI, Mona will host five separate ceremonies to celebrate the achievements of its graduating class:
• Thursday, January 15, 2026 – Evening Session (4:00 p.m.) strictly for the Faculty of Medical Sciences
• Friday, January 16, 2026 – Morning Session (10:00 a.m.) strictly for the Faculties of Science & Technology and Engineering
• Friday, January 16, 2026– Evening Session (4:00 p.m.) strictly for the Faculty of Social Sciences (excluding MSBM) and the Institute for Gender & Development Studies
• Saturday, January 17, 2026 – Morning Session (10:00 a.m.) strictly for the Faculties of Social Sciences (MSBM only) and Sport
• Saturday, January 17, 2026 – Evening Session (4:00 p.m.) Strictly for the Faculties of Humanities & Education and Law
To facilitate students in their preparations for the ceremonies, the Graduation One Stop Centre will resume operations 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily on January 8, 9, 10, and 12, 2026.
In addition, graduation rehearsal has been rescheduled to Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.
