Man held after mother, brother and cousin chopped to death in Clarendon

Police investigators are currently at the crime scene with the suspect, searching for items of evidential value. 

A man has been taken into police custody after allegedly chopping his mother, brother and cousin to death in Rocky Point, Clarendon, on Thursday night.

The incident occurred in a section of the community called Frazersfield.

The deceased have been identified as Annette Lindo, a domestic helper and vendor, her son 32-year-old fisherman Lynval Henry, both of Frazersfield; and Ingrid Keisha Lindo, a vendor of West End, Rocky Point.

The 26-year-old suspect, who allegedly confessed to the killings, was reportedly found seated at the scene.

Police investigators are currently at the crime scene with the suspect, searching for items of evidential value.

Meanwhile, in a statement this morning, the Jamaica Constabulary Force said it was alerted to an incident at a residence in the community about 9:10 p.m.

It said on the arrival of a police team, the three persons were found with chop wounds and later pronounced dead at the scene.

"The JCF has launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and is continuing enquiries to establish the sequence of events that led to the deaths.
