Man flees cops in Portmore, leaving bag containing 93 rounds of ammunition - Police

The police in Portmore, St Catherine on Friday seized 93 assorted rounds of ammunition along Dyke Road.
Reports from the Portmore police are that about 5:30 a.m., a team on patrol observed a man along the roadway behaving in a manner that aroused their suspicion.
On seeing the lawmen approach, the man reportedly ran from the area, leaving behind a plastic bag he had been carrying.
The bag was retrieved and searched, revealing 43 .22 cartridges, 40 9mm cartridges, six .38 cartridges and four 12-gauge cartridges.
No one was arrested.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
