St Ann businesswoman charged over alleged theft of 59 smartphones and other devices

The police have charged a 55-year-old businesswoman in connection with the alleged theft of several devices, including 59 smartphones, from a store in Spanish Town, St Catherine, last month.
She is Pansy Henry, from Claremont in St Ann, said a police statement Thursday. The St Catherine North police have charged her with receiving stolen property and conspiracy to housebreaking and larceny (shop).
According to Spanish Town police, Henry allegedly conspired with several men, previously charged, to break into a business establishment.
The stolen devices were reportedly brought to Henry, who allegedly placed them in foil to block tracking signals. There were 59 smartphones, 11 tablets, and a laptop computer.
The police say she was was arrested following an investigation and charged after a question-and-answer session in the presence of her attorney.
Henry is scheduled to appear in the S. Catherine Parish Court on February 10.
