Police probe identity of man found dead near Portmore beach

The police are working to determine the identity of a man whose body was discovered with what appeared to be a gunshot wound in Portmore, St Catherine on Friday afternoon.
Reports are that about 2:45 p.m., persons on their way to the beach stumbled upon the body in the vicinity of the Old Hellshire Fort and alerted the police.
On arrival, officers observed the body of a man, believed to be about 5 feet 10 inches tall, lying in a pool of blood. He was dressed in blue jeans and one Adidas shoe.
His hands and feet were bound, his mouth gagged, and he appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound to the head, according to reports.
The scene was processed and the body removed.
The Portmore Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
