Businessman charged for allegedly pulling gun on man during dispute in Clarendon

The police have charged a man who allegedly brandished a gun during a dispute with a man in Clarendon and later attempted to flee Jamaica.
He is 42-year-old businessman Fabian Fraser of Rocky Point, Clarendon, and Ontario, Canada.
He has been charged with assault at common law, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony.
His court date is being arranged.
According to reports from the May Pen police, about 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, Fraser was among a group of persons at a gathering when an argument developed between him and another man.
During the dispute, Fraser allegedly left the venue and returned with a firearm. He reportedly pointed the weapon at the man and threatened him.
A report regarding the incident was made to the police, and an investigation was launched.
On Tuesday, February 17, Fraser was arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport as he was attempting to flee the island, the police reported.
He was subsequently charged.
