St Ann man charged for alleged rape and abduction of teen girl

A 33-year-old St Ann man has been charged for the alleged rape of a teen girl and for keeping her at his home for days.
Charged with abduction, rape, grievous sexual assault, and unlawful detention is Kenroy Edwards.
Reports from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) are that about midnight on Thursday, February 19, Edwards was in his community when he allegedly approached the teen girl and made sexual advances.
He then allegedly took the teen to his house without her permission, where he sexually assaulted her.
After the ordeal, he allegedly held her captive until she was found and rescued by residents on Saturday, February 21.
He was captured by residents who handed him over to the police.
He was subsequently charged on Monday, February 23.
A court date is being arranged for him.
