A court date is being finalised.

Thirty-five-year-old Travis Wilson, a higgler of Patrick City, St Andrew, has been charged by the police for allegedly failing to return a car he rented from a woman in December 2025.

Wilson is charged with larceny of a motor vehicle.

According to reports from the Half-Way Tree police, Wilson rented a Honda Stream motor car from the woman and that at the end of the stipulated rental period, he reportedly requested an extension for a few additional days.

She consented to the request.

However, investigators allege that Wilson failed to return the vehicle within the extended timeframe and did not make payment for the additional days during which he retained possession of the car.

After numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact Wilson by phone, the woman reported the matter to the police.

On Tuesday, February 17, the vehicle was intercepted and seized by lawmen in Portland.

Wilson, who was driving the car at the time, was taken into custody.

He was subsequently charged following a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of his attorney.

A court date is currently being finalised.
