Mavis Bank man charged for stealing $250,000 in building materials

A 44-year-old Mavis Bank, St Andrew livestock farmer has been charged with simple larceny following the alleged theft of building materials valued at approximately $250,000.

Jomo Johnson was charged in connection with an incident that occurred in his community on Tuesday, June 30.

According to reports from the Constant Spring police, about 2:20 a.m., Johnson allegedly went to a man's home and stole several building materials.

The matter was reported to the police, and on Wednesday, July 1, Johnson turned himself in to investigators.

Following investigations, Johnson was charged with simple larceny.

His court date is being finalised.
