Taxi operator charged over armed robbery at St Andrew bar

The police in St Andrew have charged a 25-year-old man in connection with the armed robbery of a bar.

Odean Kinglock, a taxi operator of Lacy district in Stony Hill, has been charged with robbery with aggravation, possession of a prohibited weapon, and common assault.

The police report that about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, Kinglock and his accomplices, all wearing masks, confronted patrons at the bar, pointed a firearm at them, robbed them of their belongings, and then fled the scene on foot.

The matter was reported to the police, and an investigation was launched.

During the course of the investigation, Kinglock was implicated and subsequently arrested on Wednesday, July 22.

He was later charged following a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of his attorney on Friday, July 24.

His court date is being finalised.
