Four Haitians held in St Catherine community, charged with overstaying

Four Haitians were arrested in the community of Green Acres in Spanish Town, St Catherine on Monday and later charged with overstaying.
The police report that about 3:00 p.m., cops, acting on intelligence, swooped down on a premises in the upscale community, where two men and two women were observed.
According to the police, they were questioned, and it was revealed that they had entered Jamaica legally but remained beyond the period permitted.
It was also revealed that two of the four persons were on the police’s radar and were being sought.
All four were taken into custody and charged with overstaying.
They are booked to appear in the St Catherine Parish Court on Friday.
