The JN Financial Group has significantly improved its operating performance, returning a profit before tax of approximately $1.4 billion for the financial year ended March 2026, relative to a loss of almost the same figure for the financial year ended March 2025. This represents a 200 per cent improvement over its performance in 2025. The Group closed the financial year ended March 2026 with a profit after tax of $336 million, compared to a loss of nearly $1.9 billion the previous year.
The return to profitability reflects a deliberate strategic decision to focus on core financial services, namely banking, remittances, and life insurance, which were all profitable. Proceeds generated from the sale of its investment and general insurance arms, JN Fund Managers and JN General Insurance, also influenced the JN Financial Group’s positive performance.
“The Group’s strategy has begun to yield the intended results,” said Hugh Miller, managing director of JN Financial Group. “We will maintain our prudent management to sustain the steady progress of the financial group to ensure long-term value for our members, customers, and other stakeholders.”
