The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is reporting that a three-month-old baby was found by a concerned citizen today and brought to the Bog Walk Police Station in St Catherine.
The JCF says the police team at the station immediately took the child into their care.
It was indicated that the cops purchased baby formula, clothing, and other necessities while efforts were made to contact the child’s guardian and the relevant authorities.
“The baby will also be taken to a doctor for a medical examination to ensure that the child is healthy and receiving the necessary care,” the JCF said.
The force commended Constable Jullan Graham and her team for going above and beyond to ensure the baby was safe and comfortable.
“This is a reminder that compassion, vigilance and a willingness to help can make a meaningful difference in the life of a vulnerable child. Kudos to Constable Graham and the Bog Walk team for responding with care and professionalism.”
