RJRGLEANER appoints Shawnie Fitt as Chief Operating Officer

The RJRGLEANER Communications Group has announced the appointment of Shawnie Fitt as Chief Operating Officer, effective Monday, September 28.
The company says Fitt brings extensive regional and international experience in business transformation, strategic planning, project management and marketing.
“Her experience spans multiple industries, with a focus on driving organisational change, improving operational efficiency and translating strategy into measurable business outcomes.”
Most recently, Fitt led Regional Special Projects and Marketing at PwC, where she was promoted within her first year.
There she led cross-functional regional teams, redesigned business processes in strategic planning, reporting, and project management.
She also led the sourcing and implementation of key technological tools to increase business efficiency.
She joined RJRGLEANER in November 2024 as Head of Business Transformation and subsequently became Chief Transformation Officer.
Her appointment as COO builds on her contribution to the group and expands her leadership responsibilities across its operations.
In her new role, Fitt will oversee the group’s operations, working closely with its leadership team to improve efficiency, strengthen collaboration and support the delivery of its strategic priorities.
The appointment comes as RJRGLEANER continues to adapt its business to the changing needs of its audiences, advertisers and other stakeholders.
