In their first meeting in seven years, the Reggae Girlz defeated Trinidad and Tobago 4-1 Tuesday night in an international friendly played at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Trinidad.
Jody Brown bagged a brace for Jamaica in the 11th and 84th minutes of play, while Natasha Thomas in the 52nd minute and débutante Tianna Harris in the 67th minute rounded off the goalscorers.
Nikita Gosine scored Trinidad’s only goal of the contest in the 13th minute.
The result is identical to the team’s last meeting back in 2018, when Jamaica had downed Trinidad 4-1 at the National Stadium.
The game was used as final preparation for both teams ahead of the Concacaf W Qualifiers which begin next month.
