TAPPININ, with Anthony Thomas aboard, wins the fifth race over five furlongs round at Caymanas Park on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

COOKIE DAY N NIGHT gets a pace to stalk and pounce in Sunday’s Omar Walker Trophy at five and a half furlongs after being used up and run off his legs from the one hole at seven and a half furlongs late January.

A sprint for horses who have never won an overnight allowance, the feature further restricts foreigners, the conditions writers’ latest attempt to level the playing field, shielding local-bred runners from importees.

Steven Todd’s SHE’S THAT GIRL, considered a classic hopeful two years ago before her stamina limitations were exposed in the Jamaica Oaks won by BANADURA, reports for her second run off a near nine-month lay-up after a pipe-opener at five furlongs straight on February 7.

After her Oaks attempt, turning for home second behind BANADURA, SHE’S THAT GIRL was confined to sprints for the remainder of the season, winning three of four, avenging a loss against TEFLON DON in December of 2024.

SHE’S THAT GIRL will be the speed factor, catching birds out the straight course in the mornings and reporting light at 107lb with claiming rider Tajay Suckoo. Though hindered at the start on her return last month, SHE’S THAT GIRL recovered to lead in fast splits out the straight.

Having clocked 1:00.3 and 59.3 from the gate in recent workouts, SHE’S THAT GIRL will have to be caught but could be hunted on the lead by STRIKE SMART, SMART TRICK, and GALOPIN DE VELOZ.

Should the speedsters get into a tivy on the lead, COOKIE DAY N NIGHT, who placed third behind CALIFORNIA CROWN and ZULU WARRIOR at the trip last November, will be closing for the kill.
