Lavanya Williams and Ackera Nugent were in winning form yesterday at a World Continental Tour bronze meeting inside Beograd Stadium in Serbia.

The in-form Williams rebounded from her eighth-place finish on Sunday in Brescia, Italy, to claim victory in the women’s 100 metres, clocking 11.00 seconds.

Sabrina Dockery, who won in Berlin on Sunday, was a close second in 11.01 seconds. Fellow Jamaican Niesha Burgher finished sixth in 11.41.

Sprint hurdler Nugent secured her first victory of the season as the 2025 Diamond League champion won the women’s 100m hurdles in 12.56 seconds. She finished ahead of Rayniah Jones (12.71) and Italy’s Giavola Comass (12.93).

Kadrian Goldson produced the best result among the men, finishing second in the 100m. Fresh from a sub-10-second victory in Berlin on Sunday, Goldson clocked 10.04 seconds behind South Africa’s Bayanda Walaza, who won in 9.89. Canada’s Jerome Blake was third in 10.06.

There was also a third-place finish for Sachin Dennis in Final Two of the men’s 100m, as he clocked 10.29 seconds.

Zandrion Barnes was fifth in the men’s 400m in 45.37 seconds. Javier Gomes of Venezuela took the event in 44.58.
