Former national footballer Robert Andrews passes away

Former national footballer Robert Andrews has died.

He had been ailing for some time.

Andrews played club football for Reno of Westmoreland during their glory days.

He was a member of the outstanding 1977 St Elizabeth Technical Dacosta Cup team, which featured the likes of Clyde Wedderburn and Noel 'Sweetie' Smith under coach Oliver Clue.

He was the brother of Andred Andrews.
