A woman and her daughter were shot and killed at a bar in Rocky Point, Clarendon, on Monday night, the police say. They have since been identified as Norma Spence, 61, and Kerry-Ann Scott, 41.
A third person was injured in the attack and remains hospitalised.
Police said the shooting occurred shortly before 9 p.m.
The incident has left residents of the fishing community reeling, coming on the heels of a gruesome triple murder in December 2025, when a man allegedly hacked his mother, brother, and cousin to death. The suspect in that case has been arrested and charged.
The attack follows a brutal murder of a woman in the parish on Sunday night.
Forty-six year-old caregiver Jennifer Williamson was chopped to death at her Glenmuir Drive home on Sunday during an alleged domestic dispute.
Police have indicated they are seeking Williamson’s spouse in connection with the killing.
