Kingston Western police seize 33 rounds of ammunition during operation

Lawmen assigned to the Kingston Western Police Division have seized 33 rounds of ammunition during a targeted operation on Upper Second Street in the area on Wednesday night.

The police report that about 10:00 p.m., a team carried out an operation in the area after observing a group of men gathered along the roadway.

Upon seeing the officers, the men reportedly fled in different directions.

Moments later, explosions were heard in the vicinity, prompting a further search of the area by the police.

During the operation, a bag containing 33 nine-millimetre cartridges was discovered and seized.

No arrests have been made in connection with the find.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
