The National Works Agency (NWA) is advising motorists to exercise caution in the vicinity of the Dunrobin Avenue-Lindsay Crescent intersection in St Andrew, as the traffic signal is currently out of service.

It says the outage is as a result of a motor vehicular crash on Sunday which caused damage to the traffic signal controller and associated cables.

The agency says it has since mobilised to replace the damaged parts and will begin testing of the infrastructure on Monday.

Repairs to the damaged cables are also under way. The NWA says the repairs are scheduled to be completed by Tuesday afternoon after which the traffic signals will be recommissioned.

The NWA is reminding motorists that no one has the right of way at the intersection where the signal is inoperative, and all motorists should proceed only when it is safe to do so.
