Motor vehicle registration services remain unavailable - TAJ

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) says motor vehicle registration-related transactions remain temporarily unavailable at all tax offices islandwide, as well as online through its eServices platform, due to system disruptions affecting the processing system.
As a result, customers are still unable to complete motor vehicle registration services in-office or online, including renewals, new registrations, vehicle transfers, and the purchase of registration plates.
TAJ said payments for motor vehicle certificates of fitness and traffic tickets remain unaffected and can still be processed through the eServices platform or at Tax Offices.
“Our technical team and service providers are actively engaged in resolving these issues and are working assiduously to restore full functionality in the shortest possible time,” the agency said in a statement on Monday.
TAJ said it regrets the inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their patience and cooperation. It has the public to monitor its official channels for further updates.
