Man shot and seriously injured by gunmen in Toyota Axio near Old Harbour

A 42-year-old man was shot and seriously injured by gunmen travelling in a white Toyota Axio in Bushy Park, St Catherine, early Wednesday morning. Police say the incident occurred about 3:50 am.
Reports are that Andrew Edwards, otherwise called ‘Drawsy’, was walking home when he reached the vicinity of OJ Plaza in Bushy Park near Old Harbour.
He was reportedly ambushed by armed men travelling in a white Toyota Axio, who opened fire, hitting him multiple times.
Edwards sustained gunshot wounds to his left hand, back and abdomen. The attackers escaped in the same motor car.
He was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition.
Detectives in St Catherine are investigating the shooting.
