Westmoreland teacher found dead with stab wounds inside his home

A primary school teacher was found dead with stab wounds inside his house in Pitkin district, Bluefields, Westmoreland, on Sunday afternoon, police have confirmed.
The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Andre James, who was employed at Little London Primary School.
According to preliminary information from the police, officers responded to a report of a homicide in the community about 4:00 p.m.
The police say that on their arrival, James was found seated on a chair inside a bedroom with multiple stab wounds to his chest.
The police said a pair of scissors, which is believed to be the murder weapon, was seized.
The police further said James also appeared to have suffered injuries to his neck and head.
Investigators processed the scene on Sunday afternoon as they sought to establish a motive for the killing and the circumstances surrounding James' death.
No information has yet been released regarding a suspect.
The investigation is continuing.
