Man charged for fatal stabbing of brother in Portmore remanded

A St Catherine man charged with the stabbing death of his brother during a dispute in Newlands, Portmore, St Catherine, was today remanded in the parish court.
Twenty-nine-year-old Shakim Wilson is answering to a charge of murder.
Dead is 30-year-old Shaquille Wilson.
When Wilson appeared before Judge Genetta Smikle, bail was not entertained.
Wilson was then ordered remanded until October 16.
Allegations are that about 6:30 a.m. on August 19, the brothers were home in the community of Beverly Flats when a dispute developed between them.
Shakim allegedly used a knife to stab Shaquille in the neck.
The injured man was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation was launched by the Portmore police, which resulted in the arrest and subsequent charge of Wilson.
