Body of Manchester used car dealer found in car trunk

A 45-year-old used car dealer was found dead in the trunk of a Toyota Mark X in Kendal, Manchester, early Tuesday morning.

He has been identified by the police as Damian Taylor, otherwise called ‘Zali’, of Watermount, near Porus, Manchester.

Taylor’s body was discovered about 12:40 a.m. after passers-by reportedly became suspicious of a motor car that had been parked along a road in Kendal.

Checks were made on the vehicle, resulting in the discovery of Taylor’s body in the trunk.

Sleuths said it had what appeared to be chop and gunshot wounds.

Members of the Manchester Criminal Investigations Branch responded to the scene and are investigating the matter.

It was not immediately clear where Taylor was attacked or how long his body had been inside the vehicle.

Investigators were also trying to establish a motive for the killing.
