The National Water Commission (NWC) says it has restored water supply to several communities in St Mary which were impacted on March 9 as a result of a defective pump.
The NWC's Regional Manager for the Northeast, Richard Williams said that piped water was fully restored to Charles Town, Industry Pen Housing Scheme, and surrounding areas in St Mary on Friday.
"Regular water supply has been restored following the restart of operations at the White River facility," said Williams.
He added, "The National Water Commission takes this opportunity to extend its appreciation to its valued customers for their patience during the disruption period. The NWC remains committed to its mandate to improve water services delivery to customers".
Additionally, service has been restored to other areas including Valley Bush, Spring Valley, St Mary Country Club, Retreat, Three Hills, Rock Cottage, and Ross Common.
The NWC had implemented temporary water rationing for some customers in the meantime.
