A policeman was allegedly shot at while working on his vehicle in Spanish Town, St Catherine on Friday night.
The 34-year-old constable had stopped near the Old Harbour Road roundabout to fix a flat tyre when two men on a motorcycle approached him, reports say. The incident reportedly occurred around 11:20 p.m.
According to reports, one of the men asked if the constable was okay before apparently recognising him as a policeman.
It's alleged that the pillion rider then dismounted, brandished a handgun, and fired at the officer, who managed to escape unharmed. The men then fled the scene.
The frightened constable later made a formal report to authorities.
The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch has launched an investigation.
