Woman and man held over firearm seizure in St Mary

The police have arrested a woman and a man after a gun was seized during an operation in Spicy Grove, Oracabessa in St Mary, early Saturday morning.

According to the Oracabessa police, about 5:30 a.m., a team conducted an operation at a premises and searched a house.

During the search, a 9mm Beretta pistol with a magazine containing six rounds was allegedly found concealed under a mattress.

The firearm was seized and both occupants of the premises were taken into custody.
