Dr Gavin Myers has been appointed principal director of National Integrity Action.

Dr Gavin Myers has taken over the leadership of anti-corruption and governance organisation National Integrity Action (NIA).

His appointment took effect on January 1.

He replaced Danielle Archer, who recently resigned as Principal Director.

Myers has a PhD in Management Studies from the Faculty of Business and Law, the Open University, United Kingdom, and a first degree in International Relations and Political Science from the University of the West Indies, Mona.

NIA says he has expertise in voluntary sector management, community outreach and development, and social entrepreneurship and innovation.

He is a certified restorative justice facilitator and a trainer in youth development and community research and engagement.

Myers has conducted research and led community and social projects in Jamaica, the Caribbean, and the UK.

He was previously employed to NIA as a community outreach officer and an event coordinator between June 2016 and March 2020.

“NIA welcomes Dr Myers back into the fold, in his new role as the leader of the organization. We have every confidence that his training and experience will redound to the benefit of NIA, and our anti-corruption work and advocacy,” said NIA in a statement.
