Rum, ganja and millions seized in police operation in Clarendon, woman arrested

The Clarendon police today seized a cache of illicit items along with cash totalling around $5 million at a house in the community of Palmetto Pen and arrested a woman.

According to reports, during a search the police uncovered approximately 162 pounds of ganja, uncustomed cigarettes, and bulk quantities of rum.

The operation took place sometime after 2:30 p.m.

The raid was part of ongoing efforts by the Clarendon police to curb drug trafficking and other criminal activities in the parish.

Community members are being urged to assist authorities by reporting suspicious activities to help maintain safety across the parish.
