St Thomas man charged for stabbing death of brother during New Year’s Day altercation

Thirty-five-year-old Mark Phang, otherwise called 'Squeaky', of Pamphret, St Thomas has been charged with murder following the stabbing death of his brother at their home on New Year’s Day.
The deceased has been identified as 46-year-old mechanic Marvin Phang, otherwise called 'Terry'.
Reports from the Yallahs police are that about 7:45 p.m., Mark and Marvin were involved in a physical altercation during which both men received stab wounds.
The police were alerted, and both brothers were transported to hospital, where Marvin was pronounced dead. Mark was treated and admitted in stable condition.
Following an investigation, Mark was subsequently charged based on witness statements. His court date is being finalised.
