Licensed firearm holder charged for allegedly brandishing gun during argument over garbage

A licensed firearm holder from Spanish Town, St Catherine has been charged for allegedly pulling his weapon on a man during an argument over garbage.
Forty-six-year-old Rogroy Moody, an accountant, is charged with assault at common law and exposing a firearm in a public place.
The police said the incident occurred in his community on Monday, January 12.
Reports from the Spanish Town police are that about 5:20 p.m., a dispute arose between Moody and the complainant over garbage at a premises.
According to the police, during the altercation, Moody allegedly removed his licensed firearm and proceeded from his yard onto the main thoroughfare, advancing toward the complainant in a menacing manner.
The complainant, fearing for his life, retreated and later reported the matter, the police said.
Moody was taken into custody, and his firearm was seized.
He was subsequently charged following a caution statement.
His court date is being finalised.
