15-y-o St Elizabeth girl charged for beating and robbing teen schoolmate

A 15-year-old student of B.B. Coke High School in Junction, St Elizabeth, has been charged with robbery with aggravation and assault occasioning bodily harm following an incident at the institution last month.

Reports from the St Elizabeth police are that the incident occurred about 11 a.m. on May 26 at the school.

It is alleged that a 13-year-old female student was in a bathroom on the school compound when she was approached by the accused and two other females whose faces were reportedly covered.

Investigators say the accused student allegedly slapped the complainant in the face three times before stomping her in the stomach, causing bruising, swelling, and pain.

The police further reported that the accused then allegedly held a knife to the complainant’s neck and robbed her of $450 in cash.

A report was subsequently made to the police, and an investigation was launched.

Following inquiries, the 15-year-old was charged with robbery with aggravation and assault occasioning bodily harm.

Her court date is being finalised.
