Jamaican man among 15 nabbed in operation in US

A Jamaican man is among 15 people described by American authorities as the “worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens” who were arrested in the United States last weekend by agents from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) identified the Jamaican as Warren Davis, who it said was convicted for murder, burglary and robbery-forcible theft with a deadly weapon in White Plains, New York.
A statement on the arrest did not disclose details about the cases.
The other persons arrested are nationals of Mexico, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Cuba, China and Laos, according to the DHS.
The crimes include gun possession, drug trafficking, and robbery.
“While Americans were enjoying their weekends, ICE law enforcement was arresting murderers, paedophiles, kidnappers and other criminal illegal aliens,” said US Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis, making reference to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
“Under the Trump Administration, nearly 70 per cent of ICE arrests are of criminal illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the US. We are committed to removing public safety threats from our communities.”
